This project’s purpose is to show how important sketching can be in the design process. Whether it be a digital sketch, pen and paper, taking notes, or having a discussion about the idea. Getting one’s ideas out of their own mind is an important step when creating. The concept of sketching is often misinterpreted that only those good at drawing can do it, or be good at it. So there is no “good” sketch, sketching is simply one’s way of visually representing their ideas. In the book are results from a sketching workshop I hosted, along with examples of creative processes of existing designers, and tips & tricks about sketching as well. In conclusion, my hope is for this project to show how sketching can benefit a designer’s creative process.
